A recently finished commission for

Our story joins Sabrina Spellman, average teenager, as she deals with the tribulations of being bullied at school by Gem and her in-group. However, Sabrina has a secret, she's a witch, and after a small amount of support and encouragement from her cat Salem, she decides to take action against her bullies as a way to teach them a harsh life lesson about being mean to people.

The specific animals were selected by the commissioner. As to within the context of the story, I imagine that Sabrina has worked with or has enchanted whoever the farmer is to let no true harm come to the girls while they are going through their punishment, that would be a bridge too far.
She was punished for acting on her anger and taking vengeance on the girls, that doesn't change once she changes them back.
