I first posted this on my Patreon. This was for my nostalgia month last year and dragon art for the Year of the Dragon.
Fan art of Spyro and Cynder from the "Legend of Spyro" series as adults and in love. I put a lot of thought into the composition when it came to the horns and wings as I wanted nothing to seem to overlap. As Spyro's horns and wings are of the same colour, I made sure to distinguish them from each other. Spyro's scar is a personal touch of mine.
I drew this on May 16, 2024. I drew the figures (bar the wings and spines) with a pencil, most of which I erased in the colouring process. Inked with a pen. Coloured with pencil crayons and markers. For my nostalgia theme, I listened to OneRepublic. I drank tea and ate an apple and cream puffs. I spent 107 minutes on this, start to finish.
