Next upload in my catch up uploading all the I've been up to lately! I decided to revisit Babs, the Renegade singer as we catch her enjoying a beverage after a show. Enjoy!
The crowd jumps and cheers as their set finally comes to a close. Just in time for the next set of death races to start playing on the bar TV. Babs kicks down a speaker in pure adrenaline, cables go flying and it dramatically crashes in front of a crowd of bikers. They then start kicking the speaker and cheering.
"We're Renegade! Now let's go watch some gonks get their faces smashed!!" She screams to the response of everyone enthusiastically raises their arms, pushing and celebrating amongst themselves as they gather to see the races. Makes sense.. It was a death race bar after all..
After getting chastised for kicking down another speaker, and getting their equipment put away. The band decides to stick around a while to watch the race. It was an absolute blowout, the Blood Ravens killed it this bout. Literally! A welcome change with how bad their season started.
The drinks kept flowing, all the fans at the bar kept throwing beers to the singer. Of course Babs wouldn't say no as she knocked one back to finish and get to the next one. She couldn't help but chuckle at how each band member had their own group of fans buying them drinks. This was gonna be a great night.
Soon enough a group of her and some fans find their way to the balcony, all screaming and cheering about the race just as much as her music. The celebration went quite in her mind for just a moment as she spotted along the balcony an advert for Moe Energy. An energy drink touted as one of the best new chugs of the year. Little do the masses know that swill is just a repackaged failure that one of the food corps put out a year ago and failed called Devil's Swing. They even kept the same mascot. Yet no one seems to remember! They're all just caught up in the song and dance these marketing teams want them to be in.
Suddenly, Babs hears behind her.
"Hey! Can we get a photo of you by the balcony?!" Without missing a beat, the rockergirl turns to face them and poses with her drink, with that same cocky attitude they loved. The same one that's going to take Moe Energy and all the other brands and light them up like their fireworks.

Babs! Yay! ^!^ Hehe! Love that punky renegade rocker rabbit with an apatite for anarchy! ^!^ And my my, she's looking even more like a punk than ever with this new shading style. ^!^ Helps her look even more rough and tumble, and really makes her ripped jacket-turned-vest pop! And her bright blue eyes got a bit of a darker, playfully-sinister tone now. Hehe! And that bottle she's holding looks like some official beer. But also, can't help but imagine her using it as a weapon and yelling something like "S.B.? You got the letters backwards! HAH!" Hehehe. XD Love it! ^!^
And LOVE the cityscape! ^!^ The wires, bridge between buildings, and flowing street in the center really make it look like an urban jungle. ^!^ Ooo! And the outlines you gave the buildings make them pop out individually for a nice 3D look! ^!^ Love the ads on them too, particularly the symbols and that mask. They, along with the colors and size, help them stand out. ^!^ Just like the white buildings in the bg of the bg! XD Sooo good! ^!^
And now, the story: Hehehe! YES! Love the energy! Love the care-free craziness! Love the connection she has with her fans! ^!^ And love that a death race team is called "The Blood Ravens." XD Same as a space marine chapter. XD I just imagine the space marine Blood Ravens killing their competition and stealing everything, and The Blood Ravens do. XD
Ooo, but then the plot hook where her more antihero sides comes out. Pointing out the "Moe Energy" ad's BS. (Btw, you made it look great. Hehe. ^!^ So that's what that white devil is, and what the can says! XD) Now I imagine her throwing that S.B. beer at the sign saying something like "Your drink is like this one's initials: Backwards BS!" XD Anyway, that moment feels like she's thinking of starting a little rebel action. ^!^ But then her 180 to posing for the camera. Hehe! She's a pro at maintaining control! And then the final line proving she's planning to light up Moe Energy, love it! ^!^ Poetic writing. ^!^
(Also did you mean "their fireworks" or "they're fireworks?" It honestly could work either way, but I wanna know for certain. )

Thank you very much!! This one was a pretty big project. I spent a lot of time making it a believable, and very claustrophobic scene. In fact I spent all that time making the city before I even knew which character was going to be in it. Then after thinking on it, it felt like this needed needed Babs. I think I was right!
She really fits with the new style too, everything is a lot more grungy now like her. I feel like she's a lot more fleshed out too.. She knows exactly when to turn on the entertainer personality, but gets lost in her ambitions to dismantle the systems around her with bombastic results. So glad you caught the Warhammer reference too.. That's something that Fiona actually did, We're both pretty big Warhammer fans but she made the reference! Haha!
Also the S.B. stands for Sally Brown! I was listening to sea shanties while drawing the logo (I may have been drawing exclusively Cyberpunk stuff these few months, but I'm still a sky pirate at heart) and Sally Brown is the general stand-in name for a lot of songs about women. So Sally Brown's dark ale comes to be!
She really fits with the new style too, everything is a lot more grungy now like her. I feel like she's a lot more fleshed out too.. She knows exactly when to turn on the entertainer personality, but gets lost in her ambitions to dismantle the systems around her with bombastic results. So glad you caught the Warhammer reference too.. That's something that Fiona actually did, We're both pretty big Warhammer fans but she made the reference! Haha!
Also the S.B. stands for Sally Brown!
