It was a particularly difficult case that required two of the best detectives in the area.
Belum had been interrogating the neighbors, but none of them said anything. He only got a clue after analyzing all the security cameras in the area.
The suspect of murdering three elfs the past week had been seen entering and leaving this building, although it seemed abandoned: dust filled the air, the corners of the walls were moldy, the wood boxes were rotting. What was more interesting and for sure a clue, is that there was a murky liquid all around; the ceiling, the walls, the floor, and even on the canvas that had been torn. Belum got down and touched it with his index finger, inspecting it.
"Do you recognize what this is?" asked the rabbit.
"I'm not sure, but by the smell of this room, it has to be mixed with paint."
Hoshi pointed his Light to the ceiling, watching how the mysterious liquid was dripping next to them.
"I... I think it might have some blood on it." Rabbits don't have the best smell, but Hoshi had been looking for a murderer that painted with their victim's blood for some months now. Could it be a coincidence?
"It's best if we stay alert until help comes. We might walk into the culprit."
And then, they both pointed the lights in different directions, looking for any sign of movement.
What will they find ahead?
