What’s up, guys? I’m Farid Alinejad, I’m 34 years old, and I’m a grey wolf paramedic and ambulance caregiver from Long Beach, California.
FARID Alinejad
Age: 34 (born March 3, 1987
Birthplace: Irvine, California
Current residence: Long Beach, California
Occupation: Paramedic
Marital Status: Dating
Species: Grey Wolf
Height: 6’ 1” (186 cm)
Weight: 205 lbs. (93 kg)
Quite a name I got for American Canine Alpha, huh?
Well, I tell ya… I might be Muslim and fully Iranian in descent, but I’m American through and through. I’m proud of my origins, but I’m prouder of the country that gave my parents a chance to truly make it and experience the real American dream.
My dad, Alireza Alinejad, is Head of Cardiology at Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center. He immigrated to L.A in the eighties, where he met my mom within the ‘Tehrangeles’ community, and well… here I am, ain’t I? Should I teach you all basic biology now?
Since being a doctor is like the crème de la crème for Iranians, my parents expected no less from me. I didn’t disagree, but my adrenaline-addicted ways made me… take a detour right into paramedic training! Hey, everyone was happy in the end!
Serving 12-hour stints on an ambulance going at who-knows miles per hour is no fucking joke. Being strong, flexible, and in good physical shape is a main requisite, and you’re expected to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions at the drop of a hat. You take that ambulance at the shortest notice, and you never know what kinda scenario you might be heading towards. To me, it’s the Alpha-est job there is, and I wouldn’t change it for anything!
My off-time is hardly any more relaxing! My biggest passion is skydiving: I began jumping at 23 and worked my way to earning a C license within nine years, with several hundred jumps to my name. I’m also a regular attendee at the local dirt track, both on motocross bikes and ATVs, and I’ve done an extreme desert quad safari in Dubai once. I’m a thrill chaser, what can I say? Oh, and you can add some hiking and trail running to the mix. Can’t forget that! I think my heart doesn’t ever go below 170 bpm, hah!
Coming into ACA, my main strategy is to come through as the mild-mannered, soft-spoken doctor who’ll slice people’s throats when they least expect it. I want to play this out as… a wolf in sheep’s clothing, let’s call it that. I’ll go get a nice sweater!
I’ve taken the time to study the past season in the most minute details, and I know I want to have most of the dogs on my good side and make them feel I am less threatening than I can be, maybe downplay my real strengths while everyone’s coming in all cocky and shit and earning a big fat target in the process. I’ve even taken wrestling lessons to make sure I am up to speed when we get thrown into a scuffle. I’ll have an amazing bedside manner during the downtime, but in the challenge field? The Death Doctor mode is ready to put them to sleep for good.
Whether I win or lose, I know this experience will change my life from start to finish. I know I have the right mindset to succeed, and I fully believe my job experience is just the best training ground one can have to defeat twelve hungry canines in such a test of strength, stamina and willpower. I’m adaptable, I can adjust to literally any situation that might get thrown in, and most of all I can literally… morph into whichever kinda wolf I wanna be according to the circumstance.
My Alpha goals go way, WAY past this show, and I’m chomping at the bit to begin. Bring it on!

From all the lupines that entered the ACA selection, only one survived: Farid, a 34-year-old health professional and adrenaline junkie who brings one of the most cunning and strategic perspectives to the competition. The son of Iranian immigrants to California, Farid got interested in the show during AMA and started purposefully training and preparing as soon as he sniffed a canine-themed edition being in the works. Has he got it all figured out or will his brain be his downfall?
