Lt. Jacque Lemure leads his french soldiers to victory.
Sort of an origin story on how the British found their way to the trench we all know and love.
The French forced the Germans out of it thanks to Lemure's command yet unable to take the next on they made home in what they captured. likewise the Germans unable to retake the original trench from the 400 fierce French fighting force.
The British came in afterward from the Somme. they a small flanking force, unfortunately took a wrong turn and wound up forced to take shelter with the french. However the British were picked off leaving only twenty left when they made to the trench.
The Scottish force came a month after with the goal of locating the lost flanking squad, and fell to the same fate.
