Will Ol’ Smokey ever leave the park?
So this comic was made last night after the disappointment of Southern Pacific No. 1238 not being loaded on a flatbed truck and heading towards its new home in Kingsburg. Throughout the day, everyone who was there kept waiting for it to happen. It ended with the whole operation called off and perhaps a rescheduling at a later date. Suffice to say, I wasn’t happy about the outcome and mad about it on the way home. So as a form of therapy, I drew and wrote out this story to get it out.
Since Pri’s a Railfan, she shows the frustration. Jane is only there to be the rational one about the whole thing. One of the silver linings about this is I made a comic that’s topical.
