Because I find a lot of people seem to be saying it wrong; and also to give you a little demo of my fursona's accent! It took me about four tries to get right, lmao.

Kurone is a Japanese word roughly translating to "black noise", which is a form of guitar distortion (ie. white noise). I chose the surname because of my love of music, and also because it sounds similar to my common screen name: BlackStatic*
Ayla is a Turkish word meaning "the glow around the sun or moon during an eclipse", which seems fitting as Ayla's dragon form controls light. Although I originally got her name from The Clan Of The Cave Bear, I always read it wrong and after a while it kind of stuck.

Her distinctive rolled "R" comes from my made up language, Hallyaran. Info about Hallyara and Ayla's backstory can be found on her wikifur info.
