More mental exploring in wonderful world that Lauren Faust and crew have created. Now in all honesty if a pegasus pony like Rainbow Dash could or felt a need for a motorcycle the first thought might be they would buy a high performance sport bike from one of the Japanese, Italian or British makers. However I could also see Rainbow Dash deciding what she needed was a LOUD, low, fire breathing, 250+ wide rear tire, chrome plated, custom painted to match her markings, drag-racing handle bars, rigid frame, potato potato chopper!
So after finishing my chores last night I sat down and decided put this little concept down on paper. It was fun exercise since once again I had to decide how I would simplify my style to fit the characters. At some point I may do a color of this.

Yes, this is exactly what Rainbow Dash would do. Until she crashed and spends a month in a body cast, anyway!
And I must be sick, because now I'm wondering what pony biker leathers would look like. Of course, that look could lead to other problems for her. I can just hear Applejack looking at her and saying, "Geeze, RD, ah heard alla them stories about you, but I didn't never believe 'em before..."

Well since we've RD slam into the sides of mountains and she seems to brush boo-boos pretty good. Besides while she was laid up in bed it would just give time to think about designing her next even COOLER bike.
I also could here Applejack saying "RD I heard ya' all a coming about ten minutes for ya got here!" cocking her head and look around the farm. "And ya all shook off half of the apples off are trees with contraption!" "Hmmm." "Can we borrow that gadget next apple bucking season?"

Oh Dash can go faster on the wing, but she can't make as much fantastic, ground rumbling, window vibrating, thunderous music as she can with a big displacement V-twin. She can make sonic rainbooms but they seem to be kind of hit or miss. Here it is just a twist of throttle away!
Just keep that tail out of the chain/belt!
I'd imagine that there's a different sensation of speed when it's not self-powered. Additionally, you'll notice that most of the time pegasus-ponies in the show don't fly much faster than a run. They may be capable of triple-digit speeds, but only in short sprints; sustaining 80mph for an hour is something that is unlikely to be a normal talent. (Perhaps this is one of the criteria for getting into Celestia's flying guard?)

Or.... Gone meta. You're invading the Luna in my dreams' fever-and-drug-addled dreams, where she reinterprets the progress reports from the Mane Six on their journey to acquire a cure, and has them as reformed Hell's Angels digging out their old road monsters (all six of them told the other five they'd gotten rid of them, but were just too attached) to go on "Just one more ride" to get the cure.
Of course, Rainbow's bike was a bit different in my head... Far more head-first drag-bike insanity, long wheelie bars off the back, and all wrapped around a screaming six-rotor Wankel. (The RX-8 is two-rotor, for reference...)

The character design had gone Anthro, but not so much like your recent Rarity design; Still had the oversize eyes and heavy outlines, chunkier proportions... and the bike was just way the heck out there; Inline six and a shaved tractor tire for the drive.
It was... Bizarre, to have it appear fully-formed in my head, the first time. It was Fluttershy, hammering across a deserted desert highway, chasing an enormous full moon on a starless night, with ghost images of Luna floating across the sky now and then... And then going hoof-and-knuckles through a bunch of Diamond Dogs during the big guitar solo bridge, to finally catch a swooning Luna atop a high plateau and present a single pale-blue flower from the bike's saddlebags. And then the shocker that actually woke me up was when the dream-in-a-dream faded, and it was LUNA, asleep and on-model, with the flower clutched in her hooves, and a road-weary Fluttershy asleep on a bench across the room...
But, that was just the first time I had that dream. I keep going back to it, and it keeps expanding and expanding and now it's just an epic roaring rampage of the Mane Six (And Spike) roaring across Equestria carving a path of vengeance wherever they go.
And it works, they all act way out of character because a drug-and-fever-addled Luna is hallucinating the whole thing.
