Accordance is best understood when compared to the more familiar family of Psychic techniques. While many see the two as opposite forces, in reality a fundamental mastery of Psychic is needed in order for one to unlock Accordance. Where Psychic energy originates from the mind—honed through intellect, logic, and individual force of will—Accordance rises from the heart. It is not powered by the self, but by the bonds one creates with others.
Accordance is a rare, incorruptible phenomenon: a manifestation of selfless willpower. It awakens only in those who travel with open hands, who help without promise of reward, who listen before they speak. Each act of kindness, each bridge built between people, becomes a thread in a growing constellation. From that invisible web of goodwill, Accordance stirs. It is not imposed upon the world, but drawn from it. It is a harmony between the self and the souls one touches.
Unlike Psychic power, often colored with shades of pink and violet, Accordance glows a gentle light blue. It pulses like a second heartbeat from the chest—from a place of emotion, compassion, and unshaken resolve. When awakened, it may shimmer around the user's form like a faint halo, gather in their weapon, or blaze outward when the heart is stirred to action.
Gally did not seek Accordance. He did not name it. He would not even call it his. But it was born of him nonetheless: in the way he crossed villages to protect strangers, how he remembered every name, how he bowed before children and kings alike, and how he raised his sword only when no other path remained.
The horn in his chest glows not from anger or ambition, but from every oath he kept. His blade does not gleam to strike down evil—it shines for those he has lifted up. His combat is not just rhythm; it is refrain. He does not fight alone. In Gally's hands, Accordance is more than power. It is promise made manifest. It is the chorus of everyone he has stood beside, singing back to him when his strength falters. His body moves in harmony with their hopes. His battle is never solo.
And in that symphony, Gally finds his truest movement.
Accordance is a special ability that Gally unlocked. It is kind of like a sister-technique to his psychic abilities that he unlocked by awakening his heart. This is the first artwork I've gotten showing it off!
