Tahquitz Peak

Hiked up to Tahquitz Peak (8828 elev) in Idyllwild. It was 4 miles up, 4 down, about a 3000' elevation change, and took about 5 hours.

Very nice day last Sunday for this hike! What you see is Lake Hemet and Garner Valley. :)

Wow that is just gorgeous. I'm assuming there were quite a bit of pine-like trees up that far? =o

Oh yes, very pine like trees aplenty. My favorite. LOL

I love that area, there is also a fire lookout tower up thar, very neat to check out. :)

There is snow well past Easter. The mountains and pine trees are the best, having the beach less than 2 hours away is freakin sweet! :-D

I needed more cocoa powder actually, but it was good!

Nah, we had a camper up there. we would go up there like once a month for the weekend when I was a kid/teen. I would skate around, swim, fish, do camp fire horror story's. our way of getting away from town. awww greatest times.

Nostalgia and now I'm sad, lol.
