A counterpoint to her Mana-Born Form (read that post for previous lore), Esther's Materialized Form is where all her magic energy has been suppressed.

Originally a Mana-born, a being of pure magical energy, Esther dreamed of living with the Matter-born. She designed herself a new body, created a new identity, and even found a surrogate family in a pair of magic researchers that adopted her, but her true nature was always betrayed by the massive golden aura that surrounded her.

While she never minded her existence has an in-between creature, living neither fully as a mana-born or matter-born, her parents knew they could fulfill their surrogate daughter's dream. They took one of her favorite pairs of boots and infused it with a magic suppressing enchantment so that when she slipped them on her paws, all her golden energy along with her 2nd tail would be hidden away, fully turning her into a matter-born. They even went so far as promising that one day they would find a way to turn her matter forever.

While she did appreciate the gift and her parent's intentions, Esther knew that she never wanted to give up her nature as an mana-born. Her dream was not to become a matter-born, but simply to live alongside them.

Still, Esther would make use of these boots. As an ardent trickster, she knew a tool like this would be of use sooner or later...
