Of all the weird, fetishy, downright disturbing things I have seen in the fandom over the last few decades, the one that surprises me the most is the reaction I get whenever I express a preference for Anchovies on my Hawaiian Pizza.

Sorry, fish don't belong on pizza. Uhhhh-uh.

I don't force my pizza down anyone else's throat. More than can be said about how some treat their fetish pictures.

Though on the subject of Anchovies, you might have tried them if you ever had a Ceaser Salad. (They are in the dressing)

I have had Caesar Salad, but I don't put dressing on my salads. So, I don't believe I've ever tried anchovies. BTW, I do love Hawaiian pizza, though. I guess I've got a thing for ham and pineapple. That salty, sweet, sour taste really does something for my tastebuds.

They're in most Worcestershire sauce, too (there are Vegan varieties).

Well, in that case, I guess I have tried anchovies, but it was a long, LONG time ago. A friend cooked something (I can't remember what) and it had Worcestershire Sauce in it. I didn't care for the taste, though.

My mother always put Worcestershire in meatloaf and growing up in the 1950s and '60s, that was at least once a week. It was also in her 'One Dish Barbecue'. Hot dogs, boiled potatoes, onions and tomato sauce. That was good enough that I cribbed the sauce recipe for other meals, too. I made a batch for my 30^th high school reunion. I'm lucky I brought my dog home!

Goldie is a brown bear from BC while her daughter is a hybrid (Bruce is a black bear)

Oops. Now that I think about it, there are Atlantic salmon so brown bears and black bears could eat them. Jeez! And I call myself a fisherman. LOL

BC means British Columbia so yes, brown bears do eat them. Grizzly bears are a subspecies of brown bear

I always love the dialogue between Goldie and Molly. It's just rings so true.

Molly's "deadbeat dad" just doesn't know what he's missing with Goldie and their daughter. Goldie is my second most favorite bear character. I bet you can't guess who's number one. LOL

Deadbeat Dads drive me bonkers. My neighborhood is full of them. My girlfriend never met her father; he transferred to another Navy base before she was born.

AND he was military!? I'm surprised the Navy didn't "explain" to him about the responsibilities of being a father. (I'm sure you know what I mean by explain.)

It was the '80s and things were a little more slack. Back then the DOD didn't object (as much) to single moms in the military -- that changed in the '90s. Her mother was a surgeon in the military hospital on Okinawa; the Navy effectively forced her to resign her commission (by denying her promotions) when my GF was 9. She came 'back' to a country she'd never seen as her mother took a job in a hospital.

When I was in the USAF (late 70s/early 80s), they frowned on men who refused to support their families/children. In fact, if you were married or a father, you were required by the USAF to give your wife half of your pay. (I know. I had to give my now ex-wife an allotment amounting to half of my pay.) I didn't mind because I had always been taught to support your family (even if your wife openly admitted to you that she despised you).
