At some point in our lives, we have to learn to say the word “no” when it comes to something we enjoy or have a particular fondness for. This is usually as a countermeasure to ensure that we handle things we NEED to do in place of what we may WANT to do; other times, its to ensure we have moderation in our lives. Kacey has been learning that a bit, not in terms of her workload…but in terms of her eating!

Ever since meeting the excitable Sonyu, Kacey has not only made a new companion, but someone who takes a genuine curious interest in her gadgets and contraptions. As such, Kacey and Sonyu have been known to socialize with each other at the former’s workshop. Of course, it wouldn’t be long before Sonyu desired to treat her friend to her cooking and fresh ingredients from her clan’s crops and gardens. Given the love and passion Sonyu puts into her cooking, it would be no surprise that Kacey would find the simian’s dishes delicious! Unfortunately, with this first taste came its own slue of issues as whenever Sonyu volunteered to make something for Kacey, the latter could never refuse due to how good the cooking was. After multiple meals on various days, Kacey could see the end result indulging so heavily with Sonyu’s cooking. Although this didn’t strike her as too concerning initially, Kacey soon began having a few inconveniences as a result of the added weight. Even if it pained her to openly admit it, Kacey needed to give up Sonyu’s cooking for a bit if it would impede her work further. So, after one finally meal from Sonyu, Kacey told her friend it was probably time she stopped eating such loving home cooking and focused a bit more on her work if it meant she could shed the weight and keep up her productivity. While Sonyu was a bit curious as to why Kacey didn’t want her to cook for her for a bit, she understood the hen had her reasoning and did her best not question Kacey further. However, this didn’t mean Sonyu was willing to let the food she ALREADY prepared go to waste…and instead left the rest to Kacey. While somewhat vexed by the amount of food left over, Kacey promised she would get the weight off…after she finished off the food left to her. Well given how labor-intensive Kacey’s projects are, I have no doubt she can shed the weight in no time! *TRIVIA: Kacey has stated she rarely cooks for herself and will only do so when the project she is working on is small or if she doesn’t have anything to work on. Sometimes she will forgo eating all together in place of period snacking as opposed to a full meal.
