Neat 1950s diner in Salem, New Jersey. The name comes from a 500 year old oak tree that stood in the cemetery across the street until I believe 2021. Inside is almost completely original, which is becoming a real rarity for these old diners. Only updates I saw were 1970s or 80s era booths and tables. Though they still fit in fine with the aesthetics of the interior. Food was fantastic tbh. Beats most restaurants I've been to in Delaware. Real old school diner food. Was impressed.
The lighting was pretty bad when I took this pic, with the front completely shaded. And I did my best to make it appealing to look at. Not too happy with the results, but I still think it looks better than it did.
Salem is genuinely a very pretty and fascinating town, with that sort of rough around the edges charm I like. I was considering exploring it more thoroughly, but I hear it has a high crime rate, so don't know if that will ever happen.
