Reference sheet for Julip.
Name: Julip
Sexuality: Gay
Species: Cervulp (Deer+Fox)
Native Plane: Scholaria
Realm: Vitamore
School of Magic: Necromancy (specialty in plants and healing), Planewalking
Traits: Inquisitive, Naïve, Lucky, Graceful
Lore:
As a fawn, he was found washed ashore on the Island of Blightstreak. Managing to survive the treacherous waters of The Claiming Sea was perhaps the first of many supernaturally lucky events in his life. Taken in by members of a local village on the island, he was raised among the withered boughs of The Blighted Mother. The massive withered husk of a tree that his village called home, always stood in stark contrast to the lush foliage that perpetually grew from his antlers. As he grew older, and honed his skills at magic, he would try time and time again to summon the necromantic energy needed to revive the barren lands which he now called home. His magic alone was never enough, only ever temporarily restoring a small section of the blighted mother before the life force was quickly drained back out. At the age of 16 he embarked on a journey with some of his closest friends, to the mainland of Vitamore to find a way to overcome the blight that had held their island for millennia.
Though their journey was long and treacherous, they learned many things, including the source of the blight on their homeland. For this was no natural blight, nor a typical ancient curse on the land, this blight was systemic, a part of a vast managed network of blight and bloom. For one land to prosper, others had to suffer. This was a system as old as the Realm of Vitamore itself, created by the Lich King Akarae himself to manage the lifeforce within the Realm he has ruled over since it's founding. With a fixed amount of life force within the realm, that would mean that if he somehow managed to remove the blight on his island, somewhere else would have to take the burden. This was not a sacrifice he was willing to force upon anyone, knowing fully well the suffering it causes. So he and his compatriots set out once again, to find an alternate source of magic to restore The Blighted Mother without disrupting the precarious balance of life within the realm. Setting sail across the seas of Scholaria to the other 7 realms, in search. Little did they know, they would find much more than they set out for.
