Due to scheduling conflicts, Crabcat had to bow out of the project and I am now completing the entire thing (save the clothing) by Comic Con.
This is a picture of my current work station. I am doing foam fabrication for the armor, sculpture for her tentacles, sculpting for the face pieces (those little red things) and fixing the boots to fit.

:o amazing!!!! i just recently got done with a halo reach recon helmet for comic con constructed almost the same way you are making the sculpture, which is completely amazing by the way. may i know the material you are using to sculpt. yours looks like the material i need to use next time for future builds. please let me know >.<
