A sweet little scene that I'm rather proud of: Breakfast at T-T-T - Tiffany's? No, Taiyo's!
(Too bad their song goes about the same way as that song does... you know the old "Breakfast at Tiffany's" song?)
Taiyo is cooking breakfast - not Marijke, because she is a guest and he's a gracious host (plus he's the picky eater). Waffles, if you wanted to know (er, don't ask me why, I have no idea, a real american breakfast with waffles just sounded really good at the time).
Anyway, Ryu is a psy-pokémon with the laziness of an... actually 6 or 7 year old by now (when I drew it, I was thinking 8 or 9, but having been working on the actual Musicpsycho timeline, he couldn't have been more than 7 years old). And he wanted to dump sugar on his cereal, but Taiyo wasn't okay with that (he tends to be a little anal about his son's health - doting dad, I called him).
Furthermore, Taiyo's a morning person, Marijke isn't (Ryu... sorta is - he is an early riser and always has been, but it takes a while for his enthusiasm to kick in - particularly later on down the road). I, honestly, would be creeped out by all this first thing in a the morning - sugar whizzing through the air? (It will land in front of her in a few seconds or so, whether she likes it or not.) A bowl of cereal floating into the living room (until Taiyo insists breakfast will be eaten at the table)? I'd probably think I must still be in bed dreaming and wondering when I'd actually wake up (and wondering what the heck was actually in my drink last night). Surreal. This is why he's *handing* her the cup of coffee, instead of floating it to her. He's considerate like that sometimes.
Yes, Marijke spent the night with him and that's supposed to be one of his bathrobes.
Obviously this is before Taiyo and Marijke started having problems.
Lastly, I did a background - and you can see why I DON'T usually.. I really have *no* clue about backgrounds and perspectives. (Actually, the fridge is probably the only thing that's completely off here - I blame Taiyo's height for throwing me off - at least the fridge is no longer about to topple over onto Ryu like it was in the image's first version.)
Taiyo, Ryu and Marijke belong to me, of course.
Pokémon belongs to Nintendo.
