Hey everyone! Here is the long awaited lore story I always wanted to write!

Yoshils Story – Part 0

There is a few people in this universe that are known, popular and are considered the richest people in the world. There are many others who go about life without being recognized unless it’s with friends and family. Some get understood and showered with love, others get hate and shunned for the rest of their existence. Lives can change, it just depends on when that moment happens…and you take it in stride and run with it. Be better then what you use to be and become a better person for your family, friends and especially yourself.

“This is my story and today you become a part of something that changed my life forever.”

“But wait…who am I you must be asking? Well, let me tell you. “

“My name is Yoshils and I am a Yoshi-Fox!”

“I live on the outskirts of one of the biggest cities in the world, New York City. It’s a massive landmass that is built on manmade ground and built up with skyscrapers that seem to pierce the sky. Many people live in it both human and furry who are in harmony to the point where it’s been like this for centuries. You can only imagine how one can be living in a city that seems to never sleep and the people in it prefers to run rather then walk. In the neighborhood where I live, it’s less busy then the city but still people travel though all day every day. Inside my home, I have a room to myself where I have my whole collection of video games, figures and other collectables. I also just started streaming video games for people because…well…I don’t have many friends.”

“I guess being a nerdy college graduate just doesn’t work out well. It maybe be also because of what I am. I’m unique since I’m one of the very few Yoshi Foxes…maybe the only one, but I end up having people tell me they can’t draw me or just don’t want to talk to me because “I’m too ugly” or “You are a copyrighted character”. How can I be copyrighted? I’m a real…never mind.”

“Today you will be following me to my job which happens to be in the city now. I ended up becoming an assistant to a science lab. I don’t really remember the name but it’s not too important right? I’m going to head to work now so I’ll see you all later!”

The Yoshi-Fox shuts his computer down and hops off his computer after making his diary entry on his computer. He is sporting t-shirt, jeans and a hoodie while wearing a little pouch that has a Nintendo 64 logo on it. Wearing his headphones he heads out and walks to the bus stop going to the subway station to the big city he talked about. As he sits on the packed train, he notices a few people on it like a bear wearing a kimono, a red Yoshi with a nice haircut and some other creatures among him. As he gets to his stop he bumped into a pretty big mouse who just gives the tiny Yoshi-fox a mean look. Yoshils just gives him a wave sorry worrying before running off the train and up to the busy city to get to his job. He scans in and gets to his locker putting his bag away and hoodie, dawning a lab coat and his safety glasses which he got a custom green tint on them.

Yoshils puts on his ID and radiation badge, he heads off to do his scheduled work. As he walks down the hallway, he notices a crowd of scientist coming down towards him. He scoots into the cross section of the hallway to give them room to walk past. As they do, he notices a couple of famous faces such as Dr. Omega who is a pretty tall raccoon known for shrinking technology. Another face he notices is Cord, a snake that has legs, who specializes in chemical mixing. One more noticeable scientist Yoshils sees is Alkali, a Dewott who is a scientist in the field of size technology. The Yoshi-Fox just watches as the other scientist are following them holding tablets like sheep before one stops and comes towards the furry Yoshi. It’s his friend who got him the job there, a fox named Pyro. They know each other since high school and Pyro is so excited seeing the group.

“Yo bro! What are you doing? Come on!”

And before Yoshils can even speak, Pyro grabs his hand and drags him along to follow the crowd.

“But, don’t I have to do the calculations for-“and before Yoshils can even finish, Pyro says “Dude did you not see who just passed by? The entire building is talking about the new experiment happening. The calculations can wait!” But Yoshils is thinking that Pyro is just hyping this all up until he notices everyone taking it easy drinking coffee, talking and gossiping over the whole scene. Yoshils did notice the security did also increase when he did walk in but didn’t think anything of it being oblivious as he is. Then they walk to a room and it’s gigantic with a massive laser in this one room with a bunch of scientist working the controls. They are all working hard on a new project but one of the scientist see the two foxes and comes over to them. Pyro and Yoshils sneaking into the room with the group of scientist blending in before one lead notices them and locks on them jogging to them.

“What are you doing here? You are not supposed to be here!”

But as the lead scientist chews out both Yoshils and Pyro, a hand is placed on the shoulder of the lead. The lead turns around to notice its Dr. Omega and stops immediately. All Omega needs to do is glare at the lead before the lead starts to apologize profusely before looking back at us giving us mean look and walks away. Yoshils looking a bit upset at what just happened. He gets nervous very easily and can get emotional if he felt he did something wrong. But Omega walks up to both of them and gives a smile before speaking to us.

“Well, well, well. Who do we have here? Two curious Junior Radiologists? What are your names?”

Pyro instantly speaks and says “My name is Pyro and this is my best bro Yoshils!” but Yoshils just looks down and rubbing his arm seeming like he did something wrong but Omega assures them that there was no wrong doing done. As we are speaking, two scientist come over to the sides of him but just taking notes on the interaction we are having like it’s being studied. Omega says “Come now, you aren’t going to be upset to talk to me right?” and Yoshils nods before giving a smile. Yoshils then asks “Well…um…sir… I mean Omega, I mean Doctor Omega sir um…” But Omega can’t help but laugh as Pyro also laughs watching me struggle. Yoshils bumps Pyro to try to make him stop before saying “D-Doctor Omega sir, may we ask what’s going on here? We are…well…curious.”

Omega nods and fixing his glasses before putting them onto his hair and walks them over to the other scientist. Omega explains to everyone what is going on and is very animated about it. “So as you can see, we are about to create a massive expansion of science! That entire laser has the ability to reanimate atoms and shrink them, split them, grow them and Everything Else You Can Think Of! HA HA HA!” Everyone is a bit silent before Cord leans into Pyro and Yoshils saying “He is really into this.” And both of them nod fast. As Omega finishes explaining the entire project in terms that may go over heads, Alkali says “Basically we are experimenting on items to see if they can be mixed on a molecular level. If it works, we would not be splitting atoms, but split the subject into different parts and become multiple items at once. It’s like cloning but makes each part something different.” Yoshils gets asked about himself since being a two tailed Yoshi-fox, is very rare if not being the only one in existence. Even some of the scientist look at him as if he is also an experiment.

Yoshils and Pyro get the idea basically as much as they can once it is explained more so when the calculations kick in. Yoshils then looks at the machine and seems to stare at it trying to visually understand it but is brought back into reality as Pyro pokes him and says “They are taking us down into the room with the molecular splicer. Let’s go!” They both follow some of the scientist down as some others stay behind like Omega who waves at them and Alkali who does a friendly salute to them. Cord comes with as they go near the machine. As it is being explained and shown, it looks kind of like a ray gun like the ones Dr. Omega is known for but can stand on the floor instead of having to be hold. Yoshils can’t help but be fixated on it as if he can’t help but understand it in full being very distracted. The machine is on and lighting up at the bulb tip it has but is calm but vibrates very lightly. As some of the scientist walk away including Pyrofox, they don’t notice that they are leaving Yoshils behind.

Yoshils continues walking around it slowly and wagging his tails. He’s witnessing something extraordinary and can’t understand it completely. He’s even thinking how everyone else can just keep so calm while something like this is in front of them though Pyro is known to be very calm and collective about anything. The rest of the group left the room and the door closes behind them before anyone realizes they are missing the two tailed Yoshi-fox. Yoshils continues to look but stepping in front of it but stops and notices the front of the machine is starting to vibrate.

In the other room where they entered, a finger presses a button on the console. The room goes into emergency lockdown as all the doors get locked and the Yoshi-Fox looks around and seeing the panic in the windows of the viewports and doors. Sweat starts to beat down his face and he watches in horror as the machine follows his every move as if it’s locked onto him. He tries to back up but the machine keeps on aiming and powering up getting more and more light beaming from inside its power source. Pyro is knocking on the door trying to break it down but there is no luck on metal locked doors. Everything is in a panic…maybe not everything.

But as Yoshils calls for help, he’s interrupted by the machine. Knowing full well the machine is powering up through a radioactive chemical that was mixed with the breakdown of atoms about to blast him, all he can do is have his entire life flash before his very eyes. Before the laser goes to blast him, he closes his eyes accepting his fate feeling like he’s about to be turned into dust. The machine glowing green at its tip before blasting the Yoshi-fox making a huge green beam of light that just envelops the entire room. Even the people at the viewport couldn’t see what happened even with the goggles they had. Everything went white for everyone including Yoshils.

For all he knew, he thought this was the end of his story. And yet, this is only the beginning.

But which story will you read? Well…it’s up to you which path you take. Maybe he comes out normal, or maybe he will gain something and grow upon it. Maybe he turns into a hero that everyone needed or a villain that everyone fears. Maybe becoming a Keyblade Master who defends the worlds or a Tyrant of Power who searches for the strongest fighting in the universe. Maybe he becomes an unknown creature of a different world or an ungodly demon that feeds on people’s fear. Or maybe he becomes an all-powerful creature that can create life from his very fingertips.

This is Yoshils story and today you become a part of something that changed his life forever. <3
