Falla stands near the corner of the house, eyes squinted shut in a smile. She is hiding tears and biting her tongue, as she watches her son Raltz pace confidently to the edge of the property.
He is happy. Excited. He turns halfway, to give one last wave to his mother, calling out that he'll be back soon to visit and share his stories of his travels. Deep down, they both know there's no way to know when he'll be back. But there is no fear of if he'll return. It is only a matter of when.

And oh, the stories he'll surely tell. <3
