Curved forward horns...looks like a Black Dragon to me. Aren't those like the sadists of Chromatic-kind? I mean, sure they could be friendly toward a foster parent, but I sure hope that black has some evil left in her! If not, then the foster parent will be hunted down by a Chromatic and the dragon "liberated" and/or enslaved and re-educated by the name of the Black Mother, Tiamat!
She has a black dragon sire and a red dragon dam which is why some of her features look more of a mix and she has a red scale sheen. With her egg shoved out of the clutch, her sire gave the egg to a drakewarden to raise.
Also, as a DM I have a stylistic fondness for the aesthetics of chromatics, and an absolute distaste for 'born evil'/evil is in the blood. So alignments are based on actions and choices, not color.

Absolute distaste??? Only a Sith deals in absolutes!
As an Ex-tabletop player (2nd edition - I am so old. T_T) I too have "a stylistic fondness for the aesthetics of Chromatics" and even all the monsters in the Monstrous Manual. Even in low light conditions, where the scales are hard to be identified with a color, the horn style of dragons are sometimes a dead giveaway.
I am a bit rigid about the "born evil is evil" thing, since most evil beings are groomed to be evil by their parents/patrons. That is why the "few" exceptions are so outstanding, like Drizzt not praying to Lloth and doing good shizz, etc.
My main OC is an evil Black Dragoness, which should be Chaotic Evil, but since She is also a High-priestess of Tiamat, the clergy gives Her an alignment change to Lawful Evil. Basically, I play Her evil as controlled, and calculating most of the times, and She has a high respect to honor deals (when swore to Tiamat's name) so She's one of those villains, who you can have a nice conversation with and maybe even part ways without a conflict. She however has Her Chaotic Evil moments, which She is very embarrassed for, as She lacks the self-control which She usually values and prides Herself of. In those sadistic moments, She visits Her dungeons and tortures some prisoners of war to death, or does some evil experiment on them... I don't like to admit it (Since my Dragoness came first.) but She's like the main guy, Dexter in the show "Dexter". Self-control, but has the evil urges that needs to be acted out. For me alignment flexibility is a unique, but not a impossible thing, and since everyone wants to be a special snowflake, it happened more commonly then I wanted to keep it a rarity.
I am semi-flexible, but I bend really bad about this, since in games I've played on the PC (Baldur's Gate 1-2-3, IceWind Dale 1-2, Planescape Torment), the enemy has a set alignment, so you can't bend an NPC's/enemy unit's alignment to your heart's content. In tabletop and homebrew it's much easier. I am much more accepting if it's a rare thing and has a good story tied to it.

This was so painful to read I can't even. It's not your place to tell people how to represent their characters.
I understand that you're very excited and knowledgeable about these types of dragons, but at the end of the day it's all make believe and if someone wants to play a good black dragon they can.
People like you suck the fun out of fantasy.

I'm so glad you gave your approval, everyone desperately needed that. You're not having a conversation, you're 'ummm actuallying' at them.
"would encounter a True Chromatic, but your feelings would be hurt, if you'd think from a dragon's perspective, rather then a player's perspective. <
This is unbelievably out of touch and stupid, you need to stop lmfao.
Quit trying to foist your nonsense on people that didn't ask for it. No one cares, hence why no one responded to you!
Also I forgot to mention, when someone says they absolutely dislike something, telling them a stupid movie quote to try and invalidate their opinion is gross. Grow up.

@FurryOKCupid, but can't post it to them, since they've blocked me...Very brave to confront somebody, then insta-block them, so your words cannot get a reply. Grow a pair!
I didn't told anyone how to play their characters. In fact, I stated my preference for the stereotype, and added that I am okay with a "radical change" if it's not overdone.
"...at the end of the day it's all make believe and if someone wants to play a good black dragon they can." I could tell you about how bad this setting would play out, if that party would encounter a True Chromatic, but your feelings would be hurt, if you'd think from a dragon's perspective, rather then a player's perspective. Let's just say, anyone can play as they want, and I sure hope they have a ton of fun at their setting.
Lastly, let me give you back some of your "kind words": People like you suck the fun out of conversations.
