Spring 28, Year 3

It was the final day of spring. With the returned stock list, Pierre had every season's seeds all year round, so Beep was able to stock up on any summer seeds he had been low on. (Except for strawberry seeds, those he stocked up on during the Egg Festival; the only time they were sold.)

On his walk through Cindersap Forest for the last of spring forage, he noticed a weird creature sitting near the stairs leading to the sewer grate. Since most things around here weren't aggressive, he decided to detour and see what it was. Closer he got, and it looked like a bear at first, then he noticed a raccoon-like tail? Some kind of tanuki?

It didn't speak with words. Somehow (magic?) it showed Beep what it wanted in his mind. This method of communication was familiar to Beep. His angelic mate was mute, and could only telepathically communicate via concepts, memories, and images. The tanuki wanted a fish from the mountains; a largemouth bass. Beep nodded, then trotted off. He dropped the seeds off at home, then took his fishing rod and used a totem to warp to the mountains. Once he secured the proper fish (it was an extremely common fish), he warped to the farm to drop off his fishing rod and deliver the fish. The tanuki just ate it whole, then requested another item; a leek.

Beep still had a leek in his bag from searching for forage. That one was easy.

The request for a food dish was harder. It took Beep the walk back to the farm house to remember he had a kitchen. Krobus made food in it, for fucksake! A plate of cheese cauliflower was followed by the request for a survival burger, both easily made once Beep looked through a recipe book. Hunger finally satiated, the tanuki opened an umbrella and jumped off the cliff. Beep panicked momentarily, before it started floating off. Sparkles of magic cascaded down the cliff, and the built up rubbish was suddenly gone. As Beep watched, the tanuki floated off, still raining magic as it went off towards Pelican Town.

Beep would have to see what it did later. With the final item delivered, he noticed all the running around had him exhausted. He flapped down to the newly cleaned bottom of the cliffs. There was a nice patch of grass here in the shade. The spring breeze was gentle and cool. There was a smell in the wind that warned of warmer weather, but for now, it was perfect for a nice little nap.

Stardew Valley Expanded; new maps, new NPCs, new events, a LOT of new stuff.
The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.
