Holas! I took photos for the  mazz today, so I thought I'd put just one of them up s a teaser of the commission which is almost finished. She just needs her "finishing" work. This is the phase where I work hard to make the surface of my needle felts as smooth as possible.

Besides for general surfacing, I will also be...

* Attaching the wings more firmly so they will be less "droopy". Right now they are merely tacked on so I could check their shape and positioning before passing the point of no return.
* Experimenting with adding a bit of chest fluff around the neck monster.
* Trying to add a bit of inside ear fluff

It's hard to see at this angle, but I was pleased in how the fluff around the beak came out. This black wool is very coarse so it was a bit of a challenge to make it full enough without being overbearing, but eventually it go there.

The feet are probably my favorite part. They're five fingered and based on real skunk tracks. Pictures of the paw pads will be included in the "real" images.
