Amy stood before the tall mirror in the temple's guest chambers, ears flicking with unease as she smoothed her hands down the sleek, form-fitting bodysuit. It clung to her in ways she wasn’t used to—highlighting every curve, every delicate stripe in her fur, and leaving very little to the imagination.
The fabric shimmered like onyx under moonlight, trimmed in soft rose-gold that matched her long hair, and adorned with a single jewel at the collarbone that seemed to pulse gently with stored lunar magic. She’d found the outfit folded carefully in silk wrapping, with a small note tucked between the layers: "For when you’re ready to see yourself the way I do." No name. But she knew the handwriting—careful and steady.
Her tail swayed anxiously behind her as she shifted her weight, eyes wide and blushing furiously. This wasn’t the usual layered robes she wore to tend the herb garden or lead quiet rituals beneath the stars. This was something bold. Something… intimate.
She could almost hear his teasing chuckle if he were there, that warm voice brushing against her ear: “You’re beautiful, Amy. You just hide it behind roots and robes.”
A knock startled her. Light. Hesitant.
“Amy?” his voice, gentle, with an undercurrent of curiosity. “You alright in there?”
She swallowed hard, her hand reflexively rising to cover the small keyhole at the chest of the outfit. “Y-Yes. Just… trying something different.”
A pause.
“I can wait,” he said, softer now. “Take your time. But I meant every word in that note.”
Her breath hitched. She glanced at herself in the mirror again—pink cheeks, flustered eyes, bold silhouette. Not just a priestess. Not just a healer. A woman, blushing and brave.
She took one shaky step toward the door, then another.
“Come in,” she said, voice almost a whisper.
And when he entered, eyes widening just slightly before softening with awe, Amy didn’t look away this time.
