robbob4 portraying his character Drathek in an intimidating way. I chose to use perspective to make him look as if he is going toward the viewer, or at least look as if he is about to go for a kill. It would be a little unusual if they happened to be a random passer through, it takes one hell of a daredevil to enter dangerous lava caves. So more likely it is a case of Drathek bringing them in, leaving them there for safekeeping , the heat and dangerous terrain rendering them useless in terms of escape, until he decides that it is time to eat.
I absolutely love drawing dragons , and I need to do more of them too as I feel I have not improved with them for a long time even though they are among the first things I started to draw seriously.
Any sort of feedback including constructive critique is very much appreciated!

god i wish you did trades ... charon told me to ask but i already knew you didnt do them so i didnt eve bother but My god this looks just fucking amazing as hell the perspective the feel the vibe i can almost smell the rancid dragons breath against my feathers as he goes to grab his next meal this is just *shivers* i got goose bumps just from looking at it
I actually did trades a couple of times when people have asked me, but just not very often at all. I am quite tight with time in real life and with drawings I am already working on. So its not that I don't do them at all, rather I do them very sparingly.
Also thank you very very much for the compliments, it pleases me to hear that this image is powerful enough to induce those emotions.

I like my terror uncooked. It's only when it's raw you can taste the true essence of it. :D
When looking at that open maw I can't stop thinking about punctured bodies. If a dragon would find it more interesting to swallow it's prey whole instead of in chunks it would still be very painful for the one being swallowed. Those sharp teeth would easily sink into the flesh like a warm knife in butter. And if the dragon really wants to savor the taste of the prey it will gobble it up really slow, meaning multiple teeth marks which all will leak blood. This will also increase the pain when the body comes in contact with the stomach acids. And with increased pain and an uncomfortable situation in first place comes increased struggling which most likely will have an positive effect on the dragon's satisfation over the meal. Maybe even creating a taste for that internal struggling, that again means more biting and more wounds on the next prey?
The way you do maws is astonishing. You also put a lot of details in backgrounds and you never stop to amaze me when it comes to how perfect you do the shadowing and lightning.
Can't take my eyes off that tongue and saliva. <3

*smiles* Once again, your work leaves me nearly speechless in awe (which is really hard to do ;) ).
I love the perspective, beautifully capturing the dragon's intense ferocity.
Plus, all the little details just marvelously enhance the picture, like the crack in the rock beneath his left foreclaw and the crackling bits of burning ash rising up within the clouds of smoke.
As always, your colors and textures do such a fantastic job at bringing it all to life and encapsulating the viewer with so much power and emotion.
Beautiful job all around.
