I'm still posting catch-up stuff!! After working on two fairly large projects, I wanted to do something a little simpler. The version of my character Cookie in my Cyberpunk universe is heavily inspired from a very particular game series. So what better than to wear my inspiration on my sleeve and give her one of the coolest poses I'd ever seen in a character render. Thanks and enjoy!!

The day had finally come. The big gig that would get her back in the groove from her retirement, and give her skunk friend Fiona a chance in the runner spotlight. The job was mostly simple. Her old friend Wilda had instructed them to intercept the military corporation Aegis' truck, then destroy it and everything inside.

Cookie had spent a few days preparing by gathering some explosives as well as spike strips to stop the vehicle so they can intercept. Meanwhile Fiona had been using her corporate connections to determine the route of the truck as well as confirm the security detail. It looked manageable, a small convoy of the truck and a van escorting it. They knew there was going to be trouble.

The ride over showed a stark change in the duo.. Fiona was tense, meticulously thinking about everything that could go wrong and what the most efficient way to counter that would be. Cookie meanwhile was.. Smiling! Her leg was bouncing, her hand gripped tightly to her sword. It's time to get to work.

At the operation site, Cookie and Fiona had prepped the spike strips for deployment, each of them holding an explosive charge to place on the truck. Fiona's information was accurate, as the convoy showed right on time, in a wide empty street in South Prospera.

"Now!" Shouts the rabbit as they both throw the strips to the road, just missing the escort van and perfectly blowing the tires of the truck! It causes the driver to lose control and steer directly into an abandoned building! A crash roars while brick and dust scatter around them. Not quite the stop they had planned for, but it worked.

The driver of the truck immediately opened the door, dazed and fearful he sprints away. He was just a courier, no one to be concerned with. The rest however would not be so lucky. Bursting from the passenger side comes two guards with Aegis branded armor and assault rifles. Followed by an approaching four other guards from the van. Cookie sprinted off toward the other guards to give Fiona cover while she dealt with the dazed guards with absolutely no trouble. Her top class martial arts training proved effective as she effortlessly strikes them with a calculated punch and followed by a steady and strong roundhouse kick to the face! They both go down.

Meanwhile Cookie had four guards opening fire on her, rounds striking the truck and the ground as those cybernetic legs made her so fast that it looked like she was blinking from place to place. Just as a guard had thought they struck her with a round right at the head, she'd dash away at the last moment before suddenly everything felt.. Hot.. Then, bone chillingly cold as a burst of crimson smeared into their view. The next thing they feel is a heavy thump to the ground, seeing the eerie blue glow of cybernetic coolant, and then nothing.

The two runners return to the truck, opening the back to reveal an entire shipment of combat cybernetics. Rocket and gun arms, blade arms, boxes of neural combat enhancers, plating and plenty more. Fiona looked at everything and found herself wondering if destroying this really was the right call..

"Don't swipe on your first gig, Fiona.. You can take a reward next time. It's proper etiquette." Cookie says as she recognized that look of desire in her friend. Fiona reluctantly agreed as they placed the charges and set them to go. Immediately they spring out of the truck and to their getaway, leaving behind the incredible sound of the charges detonating, leaving the truck and everything around it completely destroyed and un-salvagable. Mission Accomplished. Time to get paid, and live the high life for a bit.
