Penance is a child in this picture, as noted by the short length of her horns. She's still a few centuries away from being a "grown woman", or whatever form passes for that in her realm.

After seeing the comic you drew, makes me ponder how she would treat someone if they made the right choices with her.

I'm not quite getting what you're saying here? Please explain.

Is there ever a time where the demoness puts someone to a test and they do the right choices, just thinking about the comic you drew with the poodle lady and your demoness was all. Just a what if thing wandering in my head. I wonder if she would reward those who do the right thing instead of the wrong.

Well, in the "Caterwaul" story featuring her, she is going after "folks of a certain dastardly persuasion" with a vengeance, but doesn't turn on them until they actually commit the deed. So even if some dude swiped her from a park or something, she'd let him off lightly (mental trauma and terror work wonders for breaking those bad habits). In fact, he'd have lots of opportunities to prevent a bad situation from getting worse if only he makes the right decisions. If he suddenly thinks "Y'know, this is just plain wrong!" and stops his assault, Penance wouldn't be able to snag him. But if the guy thinks "What the hell, go for it!", and commits the deed, he's as good as dead then. He has plenty of opportunities to stop himself, but if he's too weak to do that, she nails him. In more ways than one.

Well then I hope that she at least looks around, in an adult form of sorts for periodic lovins, when she isnt hunting down wrongdoings. I think even she needs a good lover from time to time. She looks like she would need it from the way that comic went. :O

The only folks she can get sex from is adults, and since she's in a kid's body, the only people who would find such a form remotely attractive would be the pedos. Part of her punishment is also that she must kill whomever she has sex with, as a way to prevent her from ever loving someone again.

Trust me, she's not exactly enjoying her time in that form, but she's doing what she can to make it work for her.

That must be torture for her, if she were to someday find a way to be released from being stuck in that body it would be a miracle.

I would wish her luck in finding a for that to be possible.

I dunno just kinda kept thinking in my mind, her liberation from that form somehow..

Well, it is supposed to be a punishment. It's certainly not meant to be even remotely enjoyable. I think the fact she's still able to find a way to cope (and piss off her superiors) speaks highly of her adaptability.

Hard to believe only a couple of centuries back she was a sweet innocent kid. I blame society, its so cruel at times.

Well, it's unlikely that time would progress the same in her native reality as it does here. For example, maybe in the time it takes 1 year to pass here, only a week has passed there?

Heyday of the Roman Empire, well that would be from 27BC (or BCE today) to approx. 180 AD (or ACE today)
Now I know Augustus Ceasar 27 BC to 14 AD wouldn't have anything to worry about as he wasn't into kids but Tiberius 14-37 AD was really kinky in his later years and mega Ditto for Caligula 37-41 AD now he was one sick young puppy.
Then came Claudius 41-54 AD he was such an old fashioned type that doing it with kids was totaly unacceptable plus he was lame and couldn't catch them even if he wanted too. ^_^ Then came Nero 54-68 AD who liked to burn Christains like human torches to light the streets of Rome but I really don't think he was into kids, his own mother yes but not into kids.

So in summary two out of the first five Roman Emperors would have felt Penance's wrath if she was old enough t5o go after them.

Very nice job on the picture, I love the smooth shading on the arms.

It's just a bit strange at first seeing her without larger horns or the more prominent hairline.

Nope, she's just got pointy ears (although they appear a bit larger on her smaller frame in this picture).

As for her hairline, it actually starts right around where the forehead becomes the scalp. It's pretty high up, which tends to make her upper head rather large. I've got some sketches somewhere of her facial design. I'll post them if I ever locate 'em.

I hope that didn't sound like I was bashing the picture, I do like it.

Child versions of adult characters always interest me, as they let you know just how much a character has changed over their life.

But here's the part that'll mess with your mind: is she really the age shown in the above picture, or is she just assuming that form for the sake of the viewer?

Besides looking impressive for the amount of details on it, this picture is very interesting as well, i didnt know that Penance was red haired, i guess becuase most of the pics i saw about her were in black and white heh, i always thought her hair was black, in this picture is she around 12 years old in human terms? i remember in the joke picture you made about her eating a raw chicken she looked even more younger than in this one >XD

Yeah, her hair is a very dark reddish black, something akin to what automotive painters may call "Black Cherry"; it looks black until the light hits it, and then it appears a deep red color.

I guess she'd be around 10 or 12 in this picture (as if demons could apply those measurements of time to their physiology). The chicken picture had her around 7 or 8, I guess. I have a drawing of her around 4 or 5, used as a model sheet for the tribal markings on her body. Other pictures of her, drawn at different ages, allowed me to figure out how the markings would be distorted or affected by the changes her body would encounter during the growing process.

The picture is endearing... whilst the context makes it... VERY disturbing. *thumbs up*

Haha! Yeah, her hairline doesn't start until her scalp nearly completes the upward curve of her forehead (think of a guy with a receding hairline; it's kinda like that).

Of course, her head is also not 100% human-shaped, either...

How sweet, the implications for the future are enthralling.
