wow its a drawn fag..... for christ sake who cares..... its good art..... my entire family (except me) smokes heavily...... nd most of them are in their 40's-50's..... my father is bloody 60 next year and my nan smoked 60 a day from the age of 12 and died at 98!!!!!

Dennis Leary had a great statement about smoking. Smoking may cut your life short, but it cut's off the worst ones. The ones at the end. I adult diaper wearing, apple sauce eating years.

It depends on the individual. My father is 72.. 3 pack a day smoker and still going strong. My mother died at 56 of lung cancer. She smoked two packs a day.

And, to be fair, some of us have already accepted the fact that we aren't immortal. :D A lot of people are going to look mighty funny someday after all their years of jogging and healthy eating as they lie in their hospital beds, dying of nothing... :D

I lost my grandmother to smoking, I look at this pics, and sure, I don`t like seeing these people smoking, but I don`t care, not my character, not my problem. Besides, I agree, it works for fiction.

Having a dad with lung cancer who doesn't have the strength to get off the sofa under his own strength most of the time, I'll have to agree.

As terrible as smoking is *in reality*, you guys have to learn to take these things with a grain of salt *in fantasy*. And again, if you don't like it, then don't look. It's not like we all don't know the real health concerns of smoking, but this is just lines on a page.

The difference is understood (and I do find this to be a good drawing, honestly), but I still feel obligated to object to the act of smoking given my own experience.

Plus, this is based on something that actually happened, even if she didn't inhale (I hope she never does it again, even without inhaling).

I can understand your motivation, but it's a personal choice. It's not like the dangers of smoking are a hidden consequence, those who choose to know full well the risks associated with it, but some folks make the choice to smoke anyhow, and that's up to the individual.

Regardless, using someones art to get on a soapbox isn't the time or place for something like that. Max didn't upload an ad for Marlboro here. There's certainly nothing wrong with being passionate on this topic, but this really isn't the place for it... and yes, I know I'm being hypocritical by going on about it as well XD

To try and get things back on track, I really like how this came out, smoking aside. I love the way Max draws cleavage :P

Well, I have my disagreements with what you said there, but I'll respect your wishes by restraining from saying it at this time.

My dad is dying of lung cancer and I think he has at least one tumor in his brain...Not counting the various others. We're all just WAITING for when he dies.

Maybe it's because I don't like him very much that I have this point of view, but it doesn't cause me to rant at people. EVER.

I tell friends I'd preffer they smoke anythign but cigarettes, and that's it. I enjoy a cigar once in a while, it's relaxing and pleasurable. I understand why people do it. However, ESPECIALYL on the internet, I hold in sincere regard that it is NOT MY PROBLEM. There are too many people clogging up the planet right now for me to worry about every single one that KNOWINGLY kills themselves.
