This could also celebrate belated Vulpix Day, which was on June 5th, 3 days away from June 8th

While considering this, I realized some coincidences: both playable chefs, Xiangling and Escoffier, seem to match well with Vulpix, as both Xiangling and Kantonian Vulpix came first and are related to fire, while Escoffier and Alolan Vulpix came next and are related to ice.
