I was thinking about how I enjoy both elaborate technobabble attempts at justifying fantasy stuff, eg "the dragon breathes fire by exhaling a gas that ignites when it comes in contact with a mineral in its teeth" ...

... and also things like "yeah these feathers work as human fingers dw about it".

Those two approaches don't usually mix very well, but I probably shouldn't let that stop me, so I drew these goose-ish fellas.

The wizard one wanted to be able to make bigger fireballs than its breath weapon enables.

(PS the texture brush work here is eesh. I've had more luck getting cartoonish simplification to look nice than that fire brush, but sometimes you gotta try things y'kno.)
