Lieutenant-Commander ioco happened upon some odd characters recently... Chancellor Gowron and General Martok of the Klingon Empire. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gowron http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martok) They found "Dog Boy" quite interesting and stood for this hologram to be taken. Here's the 2D version for those of you with 'primative' 2D viewing devices.
These are the actual actors Robert O'Reilly and "J. G." Hertzler portraying their characters from the Star Trek Next Generation and Deep Space Nine series. Both of them really did call me "Dog Boy" for most of the day and even signed a printout of this photo for me :)
This was from the recent "Official Star Trek" convention held in Vancouver, my home town! This photo is shortly after Mr O'Reilly and Mr Hertzler's stage performance, which was also after a group breakfast that ioco had with the two, in-character actors :) I also met Rene Auberjonois (Odo), Nana Visitor (Kiera), and a number of other stars of the various Star Trek series. I could not believe how fun they all were!

Actually, and this isn't a joke.. Gowron did the 'eye thing' beside me and said that ioco's eyes are almost the same, then did a stare off with me.
Then he asked Martok to compare our stares.. and quickly said to him that he fathered me many years ago. Hehe.. they had a great sense of humour :)

Err.. more to your comment...
At breakfast, they walked in and Martok said, "Oh good, they've served breakfast already" when looking at me :P Then I was called "Dog Boy" for the rest of the day by them both :P
(Mr Hertzler actually apologized when he realized what he had started by calling me that all day, but I just laughed it off and said it was a fair observation!)

Completely. What's funny is, in his original casting call, Robert O'Reily did the 'eye thing' that he became famous for but had no idea that he was doing it. Frakes told him he needs to do it "all the time", and that's where the character Gowron came from! It was really awesome hearing them tell the story on stage.
Damn, I didn't even know :( I'd have brought the big phin out! Have you seen Sid and I downtown during the Canucks game? Vansun took a photo and did there little comment. Photo, Top Row, Second from the right. http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/.....361/story.html
Yeah, Garak was an awesome character (My favorite out of the people fighting on behalf of the Federation in DS9) Although I think my favorite character had to be Dukat. He was a very complex character and you really felt bad for him, especially after Sacrifice of Angels. And Marc Alaimo portrayed him brilliantly. Not dissing on Andrew Robinson's performance, he played Garak brilliantly too. Hell all the series regulars and the majority of the guest stars were amazing actors.
Awesome picture. Was this a creation entertainment convention ? I've been to one of there Stargate Cons and got to meet Paul McGillion who portrayed Dr. Carson beckett from Stargate Atlantis. Con was kinda boring only fun part was some talks and what your there for,the pictures or autographs,oh and also the mini museum full of costumes and props.Did they have a mini museum ? Did you get a picture with Odo ? I like Odo.
Glad you had a good time

Yeah, Creation Entertainment :) Overall, the convention was quite boring, as you said, but the talks, autographs, and photo sessions made it worth it. I never got a photo with Rene Aberjonois or Nana Visitor.. no. They weren't in makeup anyway so it wouldn't have been as cool :P I did get their autograph though!
I am only NOW seeing this...another reason why I don't like being on ship in the summer. WAY too many cool things going on "on shore". There are Star Trek cruises...but all in the Caribbean. Once...only once EVER was there one in Alaska. Of course not on the ship I was on. }:=(
This is definitly something one does not normally see...but of course what IS normal in the Furry and Sci Fi fandom? See ya at RF! }:=)

That is too cool beyond words! Not only did you meet the actors but you actually met their characters too!
I've met John De Lancie but he was a mardy git. A few years ago I did have the pleasure of meeting Alice Krige who was exceptionally nice and friendly. I got a signing from her and even a picture taken with her!
