i always enjoy doing this sortve thing. always fun to see the difference between back then and now.

It's interesting not only comparing "How I did it then to how I do it now" but also kinda trying to re-create the character design choices of once-upon a time? Like hair that's become a different style in the character today, but drawing the OLD style the way I WOULD do it now.

Surprisingly often when an artist does a new vs. old type pic like this, I'm dismayed to realize I like their older style better. Not the case here, you've definitely only gotten better at this! Also just great to see you more active lately in general. You're one of those artists where enough is never enough.

I know what you mean - Early art looks rough, but is often chonky and full of details and things. Later art, while refined, sometimes cuts out those things, as the artist learns to make compromises to save their sanity on a daily uploading schedule of some kind, getting good at drawing the same background and the same poses. Gotta keep the upward trend of quality by always pursuing new things and never getting too comfortable ^^

early art is also way more experimental and more willing to do drastic things. later art is way more consistent but... but

Hell of a glow-up visually. In-particular with character faces. Also fundamentally both are funny. Alicia makes a good figure standing eerily in the shadows. But I'm with Tracy- she ain't creepy

I can’t put my finger on it but there is something about how you did the old creeping smoking scene that looks really good, I like the stylization of the smoke in the new one though, just about everything else seem cleaner and more refined in the newer stuff… but that one panel…

You've seriously improved in dialogue writing! The conversation flows so much better in the redraw!
