The summers could be oppressive at Grimaldi University. But Shelly Riverstone was one otter who knew how to beat the heat.

It was swimming.

She loved swimming.

During the hottest point of the day, she got into her swimsuit and swam some laps in the university's pool.

It was an obvious way to keep cool so Shelly wasn't surprised that others had the same idea. There were quite a few people at the pool but, oddly, most of them just sat in the chairs around the pool instead of getting into the water.

Shelly swam to the side of the pool and half pulled herself out of the water.

"Water's fine! You going to swim or are you just going to watch?" she teased the onlookers.

There was some awkward coughing, looking respectfully, and shuffling of feet before the consensus was reached that everyone was good with watching, for right now.

Shelly shrugged, kicked off the pool wall, and continued her swim.
