Hello everyone! Hope you're doing well, where ever you are. This here is something that really makes me smile a lot, just looking at it. What you see before you, is Yasashii, a semi-anthro regal celestial Eastern Dragon! This is a somewhat caricature-cartoony variation, due to artistic liberty. AKA, some very tiny portions are not fully accurate, but this is adorable, smile-inducing, and overall a warm and happy art!

Yasashii, which means "Kind" in Japanese, is technically an ancient, whom is eternally youthful, but mature. Granted, he can be out of touch sometimes, or socially awkward, due to what time he is from, but he does his best!! Naturally, Yasashii is magical, and capable of elemental powers, as well as Chi Magic or Chi-Spells. However, he does not abuse said magic if he can help it. Technically, he is actually supposed to be VERY tall,
but finds it comforting to be roughly 6 foot 2 inches in height, as to not scare the mortals he mingles with. Think of it a bit like Shendu from Jackie Chan Adventures -he can get REALLY big, but does not need to all the time. In fact, he can even be of gigantic size as well, and even change to a more "noodle-like" Eastern Dragon...if they were pudgy. That pudgy, rotund physique of his, is natural, just how he is -though he is a bottomless pit and a foodie. There are some foods he won't eat, but no one is perfect right? And despite being celestial, Yasashii does have enough humbleness to admit he is not perfect.

Despite how chubby he looks, Yasashii can move pretty fast like it isn't there, but be prepared to see his belly jiggle, bounce and wobble more than it normally does, and his butt. Yes, every time the fellow moves, his tummy jiggles. Yasashii's belly is that big, due to a few factors:

1. His stomach organ and intestines are extremely powerful, capable of painlessly, yet thoroughly melting down pretty much anything that passes down into his gut.
2. He is a foodie, and likes to taste exotic foods, which is not limited to but not focused on sentient or sapient beings.
3. Being a bottomless pit, he does eat a lot, but is not a slob; he has manners!
4. I find it cute, and adore friend-shaped, chubby or chonky characters and species.
5. Being semi-anthro, his legs are farther apart, meaning his belly continues onto his tail in their build. This means his skeleton/anatomy is not pencil shaped; his belly is not separated from the rest of his body.
6. One of his elemental powers is Wind, which he can drum-press a hand into his belly fat, and spew out powerful gusts of wind. Mostly for dramatic effect.

Of course, with his friend shaped, avocado or rotund shape, he may get stuck in some doors for a moment before slipping through, or wiggling through. He actually takes being called "fat" as a compliment, because it is what he is, and its a sign of good health, because he DOEs eat healthily, just a lot of it ^^;
His scales are smooth and pleasant, somewhat similar to Koi fish, but squishy, especially his belly and chest. Because of his figure, he does not elect to wear bottoms very much -"Have you seen this hips??" However, he will happily wear shirts, coats, jackets and other things to show some modesty; he does not actually have any *ahem* naughty bits, so never fear. His horns are normally pretty big and majestic, but we can say here that they are growing in again; yes his horns can never remain gone for good. His tail meanwhile, is actually very long, and stays off the ground, swishing seemingly on its own, so watch to make sure you don't get whapped, tripped, or feather dusted by all the fluff near the end and along its lenght. Yasashii can even wrap or coil it around objects and people too~
His barbel whiskers are also longer, but 'tis the art style for this scene, so no worries~

In addition, his ears are somewhat jagged, yet long, and can move to help convey emotions too!

Hugging him is pleasant and warm, he loves to hug people to his big belly, just careful not to get flattened by it, or rolled over! Sadly for him, his tummy prevents him from seeing his feet, until he starts walking, bends over, or is laying down; perhaps that is a blind spot?

Yasashii is heavily based off of the "Estellios" dragon avatar for VRChat by Estefania "Estefanoida" Hidalgo, and I instantly fell in love with it, when I tried the free version. I thought after a while, "I need the real one." And with the help of a great friend, I was able to buy it, edit it to the best of my ability (Blender is beyond my skill set, but I love these colors anyhow), and have been using it ever since. Eventually making a name for him "Yasashii", and just feel all-around very comfortable, confident, and happy with him. Just feels very "me" or "that is so me". Makes me smile every time I see'em, and be him in VR and fun mini scenarios with friends. Very treasured by me. Then again, those who "know" me online, know I love big, plump, fat or chubby characters and species, so yes I have affinity towards this sort of thing.
I love the idea and concept of me being friend-shaped, plump or chubby, being warm and pleasant to be around for family and friends.


Oh! Yes, his belly can indeed be "drummed" to wobble and bounce, which one of my friends does, and it is cute to see. Funny enough, his belly seems "normal" to me, yet when I see pictures and certain angles, it still makes me realize just how big his belly is compared to other folks. ^///^
his eye-whites are dark -black, dark grey, that sort of thing- due to his celestial origins, which make his teal-greenish irises pop out more. Speaking of, his irises glow in the dark.


A small part of his backstory, is he used to rule over the entire Pacific Ocean and its islands. Rather than be a "direct ruler", Yasashii preferred to act as a guardian, helping with rain, other weather and protect his domain from potential dangers if he saw the need to step in. Instead of being abusive and cruel, he was benevolent, but did set his foot down when things were a bit strange and needed his personal touch. After a while, he figured his kingdom was able to handle itself, and he faded away, believing its denizens could handle themselves. If he wanted, he COULD regain control of his former kingdom, but so much has changed, as have the people...there really is not a reason for him to bother. Instead, he likes to relax, chat with those he considers friends, and enjoy himself.

There is even a mini mental story, where I essentially turn into him, due to enjoying eastern dragons so much, and his spirit or Chi meshes with mine, making it a very lovely match.
Over all, I love my Eastern Dragon, which one of my friends even said, "Rather than a noodle, you're a dumpling!" which made me feel blushy and warm. You know who you are~

From time to time, he even likes to dance, though sometimes not very well, unless he gets in the mood; Yasashii especially enjoys Asian music. To him, it has a pleasant tempo and rhythm, and he hears remnants of beats from so long ago through the instruments, yet adapted for the changed times, which makes it all the more enjoyable.


Due to being a foodie, he does gain weight and get rounder, but over time it just naturally burns off, and he's back to his typically pleasant plumpness again.

For the scene, I honestly could not think of anything...dramatic, so I went for something nice and pleasantly simple -Yasashii out for a walk, and waving at someone. Maybe it is you?~
Technically Yasashii is an introvert, but is capable of being extroverted, until drained where he retreats to recharge and be secluded. Can be cranky sometimes, but does his best to not stay that way; he ain't perfect, and there is nothing wrong with that.
