What the hell, another Pride-related post...
80% of my adolescent cartoon crushes were from The Disney Afternoon. (I SHOULD'VE known I was gay at the time)
So I whipped up this homage; tried sticking to my personal style+not using any references. Basically think of regulars at the bar, doing some surprisingly appropriate Halloween costumes in the background.
And since it's Pride...this is also posted to cope with a difficult breakup. The company's decisions have annoyed me for years, and they're backtracking even more now. And their content isn't even that great anymore, I think Chip n' Dale was the last movie I really enjoyed.
Drawing fanart of guys like this in the early 90's was my first step towards cartooning, which led to a lot of artistic outlets I didn't previously have (again, I was mostly known for being the best artist in school...for vehicles). I liked drawing big guys, and it took awhile to figure out...why. Now I know what I like, and am capable of fully expressing it. Their characters made me so happy at the time. And that was... years ago. So I drew these, without references, to show I can take away what I've learned, and the influences will always be there. But I can do my own thang with them now (the artistic influences and knowledge, not the big guys. But yeah, also the big guys. Cuz fuckin' furries).
And the worst part is, there's... bigger fish to fry right now in the corporate world, why am I wasting time on a messy adolescent breakup? (Well, at least it certainly inspires me to draw...)
FWIW I'm kinda pleased that since Pete is, supposedly, a cat, and I generally can't draw cats that big...he's apparently a massive Maine Coon here!

Yup, Disney was responsible for a lot of childhood crushes of my own as well. XD Launchpad was definitely one of them, though I didn't start crushing on Baloo till I was a little older (although I did love that one episode where he got tied up and gagged).
But yeah, I've grown more and more resentful towards Disney these past few years. They've just gone down the tube and don't seem smart enough to realize the problem, in spite of all the video essays explaining why. Right now, "Zootopia 2" is sort of my last life-line for Disney; if they screw that movie up, I may be done with them altogether.
But yes, I *love* how you styled these three, they look *great*! You REALLY improved Pete's look, too! :D Haha, did you ever see that one episode of "House of Mouse" where Pete kissed Mortimer Mouse (and it wasn't even a quick peck, it was a full-on-the-mouth, potentially French kiss)? Lately I've been imagining a potential new version of "Goof Troop" where Pete and Peg are (amicably) divorced, with Peg having custody of the kids and their old pink house, while Pete now lives on the *other* side of the Goof house... with "Uncle Morty." XD

Definitely were under consideration. The creators have guidelines for fanart (ie not excessive definition), and I tend to overdraw things, so I wasn't sure how well it'd mesh. Yeah, I know fanart is open to interpretation, but I always try to match as much as possible IF I can...
You too? Disney was what got me into the furry fandom at a very young age. Also becoming attracted to furry males and their nice stomachs.
I too liked the old Disney days when they were fun creative and open-minded. But now they have to make everything political and one sided, and I hate that so much. I feel like I'm watching a political rally. They are boring and uncreative.
Honestly I never seen the Gummi Bears series. Also Jack is a likeable character, but I never seen him as attractive (no offense). XD But the others I agree with all the way. But I find grown Max more attractive than Pete.
