It was one of those lazy afternoons in Toon Town, where even the most glamorous of toons found themselves battling the age-old enemy: boredom.
Minerva Mink lounged in her studio, flicking through channels with a dramatic sigh. She sighed, puffing out her cheeks in exasperation.
“How can a girl be this fabulous... and this bored?” Even posing in front of the mirror had lost its charm.
As she blew yet another exaggerated sigh into the air, an idea *popped* into her mind—not a good one but only a true cartoon diva could dream up
"I'm a cartoon character, right? That means I can stretch, bounce, squash, and inflate… Ooh... Not good one, but, it's better than dropping an anvil on my head...." Her eyes lit up, and she clasped her hands dramatically. “Let’s see how much *air* I can hold!”
Without another thought, Minerva stood tall, fluffed her luscious blonde mane, and took a deep breath — a *very* deep breath.
Her chest swelled.
Then her belly.
Her dress creaked.
"Hufffffffff…!"
She kept inhaling, determined to push the limits.
Her feet lifted off the floor, her inflated form bobbing upward like a helium balloon.
Her once-slinky red dress strained around her new, balloon-like proportions.
She smirked mid-float, proud of her cartoon physics mastery.
But then — the inevitable struck.
Eyes wide, cheeks puffed, she realized she couldn’t hold it anymore.
One loud exhale was all it took.
**PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT!!**
With a cartoonishly loud deflating sound, zipped through the air like a deflating balloon, bouncing off the walls, spiraling around her studio lights, looping through doorways, and even knocking over a few framed pictures of herself along the way.
She landed in a dizzy heap on the floor, her once-stretched-out form now crumpled like an empty balloon. Stars circled her head. Her hair was frazzled. Her dress? Miraculously still intact. Barely
Looking straight at the "camera," Minerva groaned, “Okay, note to self — never challenge yourself against a physics-defying universe.”
