The hulking bird figure that was your ally took a step towards you. He towered over you physically. Where once his stature and defensive nature was of great comfort to you in facing the evils of Limveld, now, it was much more imposing. There was a hunger in his gaze, and as his beak began to open, you realized exactly what was about to happen.
It would appear your avian companion had reevaluated your worth as a partner... and decided you would be better fit as a meal. His avian breath spilled out of his beak onto you, humid and oppressively warm. Your eyes caught a glimpse of that gaping tunnel... the place where all meals go, never to return...
