what if sometimes you were a wolf. fucked up if true

i used to be a twilight princess hater. on first play i considered it just a big budget loose remake of ocarina - looked pretty, but that was all it did. however, on replaying it last year i found myself more blown away somehow than when it was contemporary. yes, mechanically it's broadly similar to ocarina of time, but that's so the incredible spectacle of those improved graphics can better serve a deeper, richer story. the plot of this game is perhaps the best a zelda plot may have ever been, although spirit tracks is pretty strong too in that it finally lets zelda fuckin do something lmao. my only issue with TP's story is that - and i hate to say this because otherwise he looks fantastic and the fight with him slaps my dick off - ganondorf shouldn't have been in it. he's so awkwardly shoehorned into the plot that it honestly feels like they were like 90% done with a story exploring a new world and culture and then miyamoto walked in and was like "where the fuck is ganondorf. ganondorf should be here. if you don't put ganondorf in i'm cancelling the whole game" so they had to just have him hijack the plot
