I'm hoping it has aged well too, though reading a bit about Mel Brooks it sounds like he's a pretty cool guy overall so we'll have to see. Most of his recent writing credits are in TV so it's anyone's guess how that'll translate to a big screen motion picture 30 years after he produced one last.
The movie is indeed in production and is expected to release in 2027.
