Started working on this again. After some help from the nice folks over on Fursuit on LJ, here's how she's looking now.

I still need to tweak the cheeks a bit, play with the eye ridge some more, and then obviously work on symmetry. But generally she's coming together pretty well. I'll probably ask the LJ folks to have another look one or two more times before I even think about taping her up for fur, though.
