R'kall - Secret Findings of Bos Cova - MYRE 2 Illustration
This is the lore of R’Kall, one of the rare few who walked with dragons and sang their song.
But not just any dragons: the Ylducians, the ancient ones who spoke the language of Vaary, known as the hardest language to learn.
It’s said across Yria that mastering Vaary requires a unique state of mind. It’s not just spoken, it’s lived. Many have broken their spirits trying to become one with the Ylducians, a reclusive and proud kind who would never allow just anyone into their presence. The artists of Bos Cova once recorded R’Kall’s tale in old scripts and illustrated his bravery, honoring his rare connection to the dragons of old and his will to understand their language.
This piece is one of several illustrations I’m creating for the amazing supporters of my MYRE Vol. 2 campaign.
Though the paper inside the book isn’t exactly paint-friendly, I’ve managed to work around it, carefully dabbing my way through and learning new tricks as I go. I’m so grateful for the warm response these pieces have received so far. And yes, there are more to come!
Because I’ve grown to love this type of work, I’ll definitely explore this medium further. I currently have two slots open in my shop for original illustrations inside MYRE 2, if anyone of you is interested in such an illustration: https://www.yriachronicles.com/shop
Just a heads-up: these come with a longer waiting time, as I’m steadily working through a bit of backlog. :)
I've also attached a short video of 4-minute to look into my painting process on my Patreon!

Lore and beauty of fresco are amazing here
Like two pieces of puzzle interlink with each other in perfect union creating something laconic and truly beautiful
And I feel overall it is a bit of foreshadowing of cosmic proportions
But it promises to be epic as hell
Magnificent
