Still working on it. So far other than the engine itself being recently rebuilt we have added some work of our own:
New plugs
New wires
New Points
New cap
New rotor
New Air Filter
Oil Flush and change w/ Wix filter
New Carb spacer
An this isn't to mention the work we put into no engine related parts and systems. I desperately want to repaint that valve cover. Maybe I will do it when I put in the new gasket we got for it.

I strongly considered this. The only issue is that it is is very very steel which rusts. If I polished the metal I would have to coat it with a rust inhibitor of some sort and I don't know of one that would not evaporate wen exposed to the heat that that valve cover will me subject to. besides, that red paint was actually stock fro these engines.
