SAME. Trying to find a style and stick with is difficult. I only have a couple of sound kits to choose from, so that means I have to get creative with pitches and layering to prevent all of my beats from sounding the same (although they often do end up coming across that way regardless).
Idk if you're comfortable, but you should try to use a MIDI, etc. I use electronic instruments all the time. I use them ninety percent of the time, but do you.
