This is your brain on BARREL ROLL
Also, this is improvised just like Bonus Low Frequency Sounds. And I hope it's a huge insult to all those people who make psychedelic ambient music and things like that. Because you can make ANYTHING sound that way if you want to, which I hope I just demonstrated.
Also this is sort of a tribute to Steve Reich. (if anyone knows who he is, think It's Gonna Rain and Come Out) It's also kind of influenced by binaural beat generator software.
Also, if anyone's seen Radiohead play Everything in its Right Place live, I basically used the same kind of pad that Jonny Greenwood (I think) uses. (Except it's on the computer screen) It controls two parameters at once, one is on the X-axis and one is on the Y-axis. Initially I mapped them to "sample start" and "sample end", but I mixed it up a little throughout the song.

Fredryk Phox did a piece like this once, and it was actually pretty nifty. Resident Evil quotes made it worth listening to repeadedly.
When I used to listen to "Brave New Waves" regularly, I learned that this type of stuff comes in two distinct flavours, stuff that sounds like crap, and the well crafted soundscapes of crap. The latter can be rather interesting at times. ;)
