BEFORE I GET INTO IT: I am very sorry I haven’t posted much in months again. Soon there will be (hopefully) another big art dump coming soon as well as seeing everything I missed. My mental health has been horrid this year and my anxiety has stopped me from posting much. Just know I love you all and I wanted to post this for Pride month, not just for celebration, but also as a vent and a reminder that we need to be strong together and be as queer as we can as this world grows more hostile to us.
Everything I wrote in each square:
1. Hey everyone, I hope you all are having a great Pride month this year (despite everything happening). Remember that you are valid and no one can take your pride from you.
2. Though this year has been tough, and the world is at a chaotic point in time. Things are not doing ok. Freedom is being stepped on and millions around the world are struggling for peace and for the freedom to be ourselves unapologetically
3. Some days feel like the world will never recover, and that no matter what things won’t get better ever again…
4. This year alone; many times I have felt really scared, anxious and worried for us, and everyone else out there getting affected by bigotry and violence right now. Some days are too horrific watching everything unfold.
5. I can’t say everything will be ok. I can’t even say what will happen next or soon. All I can really say right now is that we need to keep each other close, help each other in these dark times of uncertainty, be informed and prepared, and lastly do not give up hope. It’s something I struggle with (a lot) too, but our hope and joy is our pride and our strength
6. Most importantly, do not let anyone take your pride, self-worth, and empathy from you. Do not let the hate and anger stop you from being happy and enjoying your life and wanting this world to be a better place for all. Stay strong.
