EDITED: I coloured over that nasty white stuff next to his wing. I looked it over really good and I hafta agree with you all, it didn't look all that great. So I fixed it! :) Now it looks a lot better.

FINALLY! It's DONE! *faints*
This is Kalencheen (Kalen for short). He's a dragon/gargoyle from the Alt.Fan.Dragons Board. :)
And those things on his head...those are those weird tentacle-like things that the Predator had. And his wings are suppose to be designed like Markus's from Underworld: Evolution (that vampire had the coolest wings).
Damn. O.-.O I must've had one helluva creative streak when I was colouring him. This doesn't even look like my own drawing! And yet it is... Amazing. :O
I'm obviously very proud of this. :) So much detail went into this drawing. It almost reminds me of the old comic book artwork...
I think out of this entire drawing, I like the wings the most. :) Second would be the torso, the way the light is hitting the scales and muscle.
I think Kalen will like this. :)

It. Is. Astonishing.
This is definately a tour de force of your artistic prowess, a new high of technical mastery and a new depth of compositional insight. Backgrounding night is amazingly alive with all shades of dark blue, while the moon provides a great illumination and contrast for a character, who is awesome in his own right.
Thank you for your wonderful talent and the will to improve !

There's no greater fuel for inspiration than enjoying some non-artistic activities, doing something utterly and decisively unproductive ;3
Reading sounds like a good idea as well - there's little to no incentive to read nowadays, and it's always admirable to find people preferring good ol' books over the Zombie-box ;3
Anyways, I'm convinced you've earned your vacation fair and square.

Heh, for the past few days I've been nothing but a couch potato (well, that's not entirely true; I do go out and water my gardens). :P
I've found some good books, some with dragons, some without. I think of books as fuel for the artistic mind, and I just need to refuel. :P Also I'll be going to Cali for a week. That should also help refuel the artistic juices! ^.-.^
And I actually do watch some tv. :P Not much. I only watch shows that I know are going to be on, and that's it.

XD Lol, I concentrated REALLY hard to get the lighting and reflection just right. Otherwise there would've been a few lighting/shadowing errors. It also has taken me many years to get the lighting/shadowing down to this point. :P
Thanks for the comment and fav! ^.-.^

no problem!
yeah, I'm pretty lazy..I get so excited about finishing my work that I tend to blow through it as fast as I can, which often causes me to make some pretty stupid mistakes XD
although, once I finish a drawing, I'm often disappointed because there's nothing left to work on XD
