Personality: Malik is what most people in Indigo City would consider your average happy-go-lucky dad. He’s the type of man who upon first glance can be quite intimidating, but his warm smile will melt away any concerns you may have had. He’s a very sweet man who can give you a crushing bear hug should he catch you while you’re feeling down, followed up by serving you a cup of coffee or tea on the house. There are times though he can be a bit oblivious due to his age and size, especially around smaller folks, but he’s usually quick to apologize… when he eventually notices them. Behind that jolly exterior though is a quite dark past, one that Malik will go to great lengths to keep hidden, especially from his son.

Bio: Malik was born and raised in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to a rather large family that sadly was not exactly wealthy. He would later enlist in the Malaysian Armed Forces at a young age to help escape this poverty, quickly rising through the ranks thanks to his abilities. Eventually his quick rise caught the eyes of his superiors and he was tapped to join the Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO). He would be stationed in Singapore, doing various missions for the Malaysian Government for many years. Eventually he would retire, but unfortunately the questionable things he did while doing his job meant he made quite a bit of enemies. He managed to immigrate to the United States, where he would eventually settle in Indigo City and set up his own business, the Mach Cafe. After doing so he would meet a woman who would eventually give birth to his son Hashim, but unfortunately she couldn’t stick around and had to leave Malik to raise Hashim alone. Malik did a fairly good job raising Hashim, although he seemed unable to break Hashim’s fascination with crushing micros, meaning now he has to constantly check Hashim’s shoes to see if there’s any of the little guys still left inside and take them to the nearby micro clinic. While he has to constantly lecture Hashim about it, Malik’s curiosity will get the better of him occasionally and he’ll indulge a little bit with some of the micros he finds in Hashim’s shoes. When Malik isn’t running his shop or lecturing Hashim for finding micros in his shoes again, he’s often found doing various things around their house or out and about with other dads in the neighborhood, drinking and playing poker. If you befriend him or his son, then you got yourself one big friendly dad to always support you. However, If you hurt his son, then he won’t hesitate to hurt you back. If god forbid you decide to go digging into his past, don’t be surprised if Malik tries to silence you… permanently.

One of my more recent characters actually, as after missing a recent adopt auction from  dg254 that had the perfect Garchomp character to be a dad for Hashim, I decided then and there to make a custom dad for Hashim instead. I essentially made this character along side  darkzeus as he helped greatly in Malik's design. I'm also glad to get this big guy fittingly posted on Father's Day.
