I've been trying to draw and sketch more. I will often start with a doodle and go from there just for practice.
May 24th I started off with a pair of horns and quickly realized it was because I'd been catching up on art from one of my absolute favorite artists, Maeve, aka Kim Rinzley, aka DangerCat.
I love her "eggtagonists" finding their true selves and becoming so happy. I adore orc, goblin, demon, teifling and other transformations too, at which she also excels.
So on my tiny 4"x6" sketchpad, with a mechanical pencil, I used her character reference, linked below, trying to adapt it to another angle, and then for the first time, maybe ever, I inked it with a gel pen and erased the pencils.
