Progression chart of life stages for cave satyrs!
It was fun to work out how their evolutionary heritage would come through in life stages. The cleft lip is extremely common in the Luminata order of postmammalians. With the closest extant relative of Cave Satyrs being the Typhae family, it's no wonder that the newborns would look very similar to typha calves - including vestigial caudal bulbs and the aforementioned lip, although not as extreme as it is in Typha!
This also presents in the way that kids go through a 'crawl' stage where they're fully quadrupedal, only becoming confidently bipedal after a year.
