Leaf key fob

The volunteer blacksmiths at Moreston Village were given two suggested projects for demonstrations and sale in the gift shop, viz.: nails and coat hooks. We were taught a bit more than that though, so I came up with my own design for a leaf-shaped key fob. The fobs are about 2" in length, and the finish is a hot brush and bronzing. The veins are put in with a cross pein hammer. I like this design a lot; it's great practice for several techniques without using an inordinate amount of time or resources, and the end product is (I think) very salable.
I still make nails for demonstrations. You could produce an accurately pattern welded viking sword in front of the average museum-goer and they'd move on in boredom, but show them a nail and they go all googly-eyed.
